ALEXANDER SOBOLEV

Alexander Sobolev is a Patent Agent at the firm’s associated Moscow location, he holds a M.S. degree with honors in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Moscow State University. He did his Postdoctoral Research at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, USA. Alexander is an author of many scientific publications, as well as an inventor in a number of patents. After spending almost 20 years in academic research, Alexander pursued a career in IP law. For more than a decade Alexander worked at the leading Russian and international law firms in their Moscow offices. Alexander is experienced in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of biotech/pharma, medicine and organic chemistry, as well as preparing freedom to operate opinions, representing clients on appeals and providing litigation support. Alexander is registered to practice before the Russian Patent Office and the Eurasian Patent Organization, he is bilingual in English and Russian.
